Founded in , Parroquia de La Santa Cruz serves the community of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit. It is part of Diocese of Tepic · Deanery of Bahía de Banderas.

Parish priest: Pbro. Luis Alberto Moreno Martínez, according to the clergy directory of the Diócesis de Tepic. Patronal feast: the third day of May, Día de la Santa Cruz. No primary source publishes a founding year for the parish; the gap is left open rather than invented. The postal code is C.P. 63732 according to the diocese, although several tourist directories publish 63734. No freely licensed photograph of the church exists: Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Flickr and KartaView street images within three hundred meters were reviewed, and none shows the face of the church. The card remains without a photograph until someone from the community sends one.
